MYTA continues to invest in R&D&I and supports the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation in the revalorisation of biogas from solid urban and agro-industrial waste.

BIOGAS_RIS3 é o projeto que coordena a Fundação para o Desenvolvimento das Novas Tecnologias do Hidrogénio em Aragón (Foundation for the Development of New Hydrogen Technologies in Aragón) com a colaboração de: MYTA, GRES ARAGÓN, a company that also does SAMCA GroupEnagasMan Hummel e a Waste Management Huesca (GRHUSA).

The aim of the project is to absorb impurities from biogas through advanced materials that absorb them and optimise the methanation process to transform it into synthetic natural gas that can be easily incorporated into the current natural gas distribution network. For this process they use hydrogen produced by renewable energies.

MYTA provides this project of the Aragon Hydrogen Foundation with one of the most advanced materials for gas production: natural sepiolite. The material comes from the mines that the company MYTA has in Orera (Zaragoza). Our presence in this initiative reflects our clear commitment to research, development and innovation in the return of solid urban waste and agro-industrial waste, which will contribute to achieving the objectives set by the EU for the transition to a circular economy, with the aim of reducing pollution in our region.
