In line with the commitment of S.A. Mining & Clay Technology (MYTA) with the innovationthe environment and the energy efficiency and as part of its actions in this field, an energy saving and emission reduction action has been carried out in the production of absorbent clays.
This action consisted of the installation of a system for recovering thermal energy from the combustion gases of one of the dryers. This recovered thermal energy will be used to preheat the combustion air of the two existing dryers in the production process, thus reducing the plant's total energy consumption.
Estimated annual energy consumption savings of 520 toe/year and a emissions reduction from 1218 tCO2/year. Eligible investment has been 702.050 € and the aid granted of 210.615 €.
