ADCLAY and growth in pigs

On fattening pig farms, feed efficiency and profitability are two key terms. Feed represents the most important fraction of production costs (between 65 - 75 %). Therefore, good nutrition management is the cornerstone of successful profitability. Diets have to be balanced, without deficit or excess of the necessary nutrients.

In intensive livestock farming in general, and in fattening pig farming in particular, good feed management can improve and increase the growth and efficiency of the production process. Therefore, in order to improve feed quality, in recent decades, the use of natural additives in pig diets has generated significant interest due to their positive and safe effects to protect animal health, human health and the environment.

Technological additives, which are defined as any substance added to feed for technological purposes to improve appearance, texture, etc., may also have other purposes such as contributing to the improvement of animal performance.

MYTA E 563 sepiolitic clay, marketed under the brand name ADCLAY, is a natural 100% technological additive. It was observed that in addition to its technological effect in improving feed qualities, this additive generates several positive effects on other parameters, including the improvement of animal growth. In fact, in a study evaluating the effect of the inclusion of sepiolitic clay in feed on fattening parameters and carcass characteristics of pigs, it was observed that the inclusion of 2% and 4% sepiolitic clay in feed for fattening pigs has a positive effect on the growth of the animals. significant positive effect on daily weight gain of pigsThis means that the pigs that were fed the feed containing E 653 had a better growth than those of the control. Also, the feed transformation rate was numerically low with the 2% of the sepiolitic clay E 563, therefore, economically more favourable. In addition to these positive effects on growth, this additive does not present no contraindications on the animal as it is an inert and insoluble product.

All the features of E 563 are an important point to improve the profitability of your farm.
